In an attempt to better understand our candidates, we scheduled an interview with Bob Benedict. He is running for Teton County Commissioner. Please read his responses to the questions so you can get a better idea of what would be possible with him elected as a commissioner.

1) What does Teton Valley need that it does not already have?

Jill Bolte Taylor was the Keynote speaker on Saturday night at the Center for the Arts during the Teton Wellness Festival.

Scratch is the newest restaurant in Victor, ID. Lance and I tried out the food and wine about a week ago. The owners have created the place to be a self-service/ take-out place where they want people to go up to the counter and order whenever they're ready...don't wait around for them to come to you.

All of their meat is local and everything is cooked fresh, to-order.

I had a great salad with field greens, arugula, chevre, fresh strawberries, and a maple-sherry emulsion. It was delicious.

Scratch is trying to do their part to help the environment by using compostable containers and not carry bottled water.

I recently read a review in the Planet about South Side Pizza & Pub. From my perspective, it was extremely harsh. After dining there myself, I had a very different experience. The view, the brews, the people and the pizza were all exceptional.

There's a new salon open in Victor, ID! Stefani Ewart is a the owner and a stylist in her location on 140 Main Street. The prices are very reasonable.

$30 for a womens haircut
$20 for a mens haircut
$10 for children haircut

They also do color, waxing and special events. Walk-ins are welcome! It's great to have a place like this in town!
