Blue Flax - On The Farm Dinner Series - Part 1

On the east side of Victor is a small development called Mountainside Village. At the far end of the property, down a dirt road, across from the old Victor Cemetery, is Blue Flax Farm. The farm is operated by Megan Warren. The weeds get pulled when possible by the small crew of volunteers called "work shares". These people work in exchange for a share of food from the garden. But this isn't really about them....This is about a neat way of creating awareness about locally grown food.

The "On the Farm Dinner Series" is brought forth by Megan and her Partner, Eric Hendersen.

How I finished 2008 and Started 2009

I spent New Years Eve/Day getting re-aquainted with the hike up Glory. It felt great to get the legs burning and the heart pumpin. From Glory we got good visibility and we could see natural releases on almost every aspect. We chose to ride the east ridge down, mainly scoping out conditions.

Next best place

Is Victor Idaho the next best place to live? What would make it so? Is it the outdoor lifestyle? Proximity to world-class skiing? The awesome people?

My wife and I just returned from a trip to Victor. We think it would make a great place to live for all the reasons above and many more.

How did you make the decision to live in Victor? What keeps you there?
